February 21, 2007 Tankless Water Heaters Recalled for Repair Due to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Hazard

The recall involves indoor models of the Power Vent 199,900 BTUH tankless water heaters. The brands and model numbers included in this recall are listed below and are located on the front of the unit and the rating plate. The water heaters have a cream jacket or gray jacket enclosure with the piping on the top and bottom of the unit. The rating plate is a silver label located the front of the unit, in the lower right hand corner. Read more.


January 4, 2007 Pentair Water Pool and Spa Inc. Recalls Gas Pool Heaters for Carbon Monoxide Hazard

The recall involves Pentair MiniMax® NT STD Gas Pool Heaters installed indoors. They have BTU ratings between 200,000 and 400,000, and use either natural gas or propane. October 25, 2006 Delta Faucet Co. Recalls Bathtub and Shower Temperature Control Valves Due to Scald Hazard

The Universal Multichoice Valves were sold under the Delta brand name. The valves are used in bathtubs and showers to regulate the temperature of the water flow. The valves are located inside the shower or bathtub water control knobs. Read more.



October 6, 2005 A.O. Smith Recall of Water Heaters

The recall involves 75-gallon propane gas water heaters. The heaters have the name "A.O. Smith," "Reliance," "Apollo," "State," or "Maytag" on the side of the unit. The model number is located on the rating plate. Only units with the model numbers listed below and manufactured between January 2004 and July 2005 are included in the recall. Read more.


September 16, 2005 Robertshaw Controls Co. Recall of Gas Control Valves on Water Heaters

The R110 Gas Control Valves being recalled are installed on natural and liquid propane (LP) gas water heaters. The recalled valves were manufactured between July 25, 2005 and August 14, 2005 with production date codes 5-31 through and including 5-33, although not all valves with these date codes are affected. The recalled valves were installed on the following water heater brands: American Proline, Bradford White, GE, GSW, Hotpoint, Jetglas, John Wood, Lochinvar, Premier Plus, Powerflex, Rheem, Richmond, Ruud, Vanguard, Whirlpool, and U.S. Craftmaster. April 27, 2005 Bell & Gossett Recall of Dual Unit Valves

Dual Unit Valve, model numbers 8, 8 TU, F-8 and F-8TU, Bell & Gossett part numbers: 110199, 110200, 110201, and 110202 with a manufacturing date code of E30 (May 2003) through M40 (December 2004). This includes the following specific date codes –E30, F30, G30, H30, J30, K30, L30, M30, A40, B40, C40, D40, E40, F40, J40, K40, L40, and M40. This recall applies strictly to product that has not been installed. Units already installed are not affected since the potential leak would appear at time of installation. The valves are used in residential heating systems, for filling hot water boilers and related piping systems after boiler installation or system servicing. Read more.




May 27, 2004 A. O. Smith Co. Recall of Spas

The recalled Coast Mountain® spas have various model names, including Cypress, Seymour, Cowichan, Washington and Robson spas. The model name is located on the top corner of the spa. The recalled units have a capacitor made by Motors Capacitor Inc., which can be identified by a label on the motor that has the words, "Tiny Might." The spas have an acrylic liner with western red cedar siding and seat up to six adults. Read more.
