July 27, 2011 Kohler Co. Announces Recall of Shower Doors Due to Laceration Hazard

The recall involves a 1/2 inch thick hinge panel included in the Kohler Purist®, Pinstripe® and Finial® frameless heavy glass pivot shower doors. The hinge panel was sold as a component under part numbers 705753-L-NA, 705754-L-NA and 705760-L-NA in various shower door packages as described in these tables. Read more.


October 21, 2010 Kohler Co. Recalls Bath Doors Due to Laceration Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Selected Lowes's and Home Depot Stores

The recall involves Kohler and Sterling frameless by-pass bath doors. By-pass doors consist of two panels that slide on a track and overlap one another. They can be identified by the tempering date located on the bath door glass panel, which reads “080410” or by the SAU (serial) number on the manufacturer’s box. December 22, 2009 Temperature and Pressure Relief Valves for Large Water Heaters Recalled by Watts Regulator Due to Rupture and Burn Hazards

This recall involves the one-inch 140X-9 Temperature and Pressure Relief valves, which are typically used in large water heaters for commercial buildings or possibly for large homes. The valves bear item codes 0259844 (75 psi/210°F); 0259924 (100 psi/210°F); 0259708 (150 psi/210°F); 0259925 (125 psi/210°F); and 0259930 (150 psi/210°F). The affected date codes are 0641R through 0930R. The date code is printed after the model number “M15” on a green metal tag fastened to the pressure relief valve. Read more.


June 23, 2009 Crane Plumbing Recalls Bath Tubs With A Whirlpool Due to Entrapment and Drowning Hazards

April 3, 2008 A.O. Smith Recalls Gas Water Heaters Due to Fire and Carbon Monoxide Hazards

This recall involves 75 gallon natural and propane gas water heaters. “A.O. Smith” or “State” is printed on the side of the unit. A.O. April 1, 2008 Gecko Alliance Recalls Electronic Spa Controls Used on Serenity Spas Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves the Hydropool Serenity Series Spa hot tubs with serial numbers 01350XXXX through 03210XXXX. The serial numbers are printed on the right side of the spa control. The Gecko spa control (SSPA-1) has model number 0202-205097 printed on it. Read more.


August 13, 2007 Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative Recalls Junction Boxes for Fire Hazard

This recall involves junction boxes installed between the water heater and load management switch. The metal junction boxes measure about 4 inches by 4 inches and have no markings. The junction box contains wiring connections for water heaters. Read more.


May 3, 2007 Coast Spas and Franklin Electric Co. Recall Coast Spas Due to Fire Hazard

The recalled spas were manufactured from January 2002 through October 2004. Only spas manufactured during this time frame with either red or yellow pump and motor assemblies are included in this recall. The spa manufacturer's name and date code and the pump and motor assembly can be located in the spa compartment as shown below. Consumers can access this compartment by lifting out the compartment door and setting it aside. Read more.


March 19, 2007 Laars Heating Systems Recalls Gas Boilers and Water Heaters Due to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Hazard

This recall involves Laars 9600 CB Condensing Heating Boilers and Laars 9600 HWG Condensing Water Heaters with black vent pipe/tubing. The recalled boilers are used to generate hot water for heating systems including baseboards or radiant flooring. The recalled water heaters generate hot water for use in homes, such as showers, sinks and dishwashers. "Mark II" and "9600 CB" or "9600 HWG" are printed on the front of the boilers and water heaters. The model number and BTU size are printed on the right side of the unit.
