October 14, 2009- SI Tech Recalls Diving Suit Hoses Due to Drowning Hazard; One Death Reported
This recall involves a dry suit inflation hose that connects a diver’s dry suit to the air supply and allows for the pumping of air into the suit to set up a positive pressure arrangement to help keep it watertight. The hose contains an air flow restricting insert that may be either black, blue or green in color. The batch code is stamped on the threaded metal end of the hose. They were sold with dry suits and also sold separately. This recall involves Halcyon diving equipment including the Halcyon Explorer, Eclipse, CCR35, Evolve and Pioneer Buoyancy Compensator Devices (BCDs) and Halcyon Surface Marker Buoys (SMBs), Lift Bags, Diver Alert Markers (DAMs) Surf Shuttle and Diver Lift Raft Inflatable Devices. “Halcyon” is printed on the diving equipment. June 23, 2009- Diving Wings With Defective Inner Bladders Recalled by Poseidon Due to Drowning Hazard
The recall involves the Poseidon inner bladders with batch number 5445 sold with the Poseidon Besea W50 wings. The inner bladder is located inside the outer cover of the wing. The batch number and “Poseidon” are molded on a tab located between the “legs” of the inner bladder. February 24, 2009- Silent Diving Systems Recalls Scuba Diving Hoses Due to Drowning Hazard
The crimped hoses are used to carry the air supply in the re-breathing diving system. The hoses were sold on three re-breathing models: Inspiration, Evolution and Evolution Plus. This recall involves Apeks TX, ATX, and XTX second stage regulators that have never been serviced. Apeks and TX, ATX, or XTX is printed on the regulator. September 10, 2008- Aqua Lung Recalls Scuba Regulators and Adapters Due to Drowning Hazard
The recalled regulators have a brass DIN retainer manufactured prior to June 2006. The recalled Aqua Lung Titan Din 1st Stage regulators have serial numbers lower than 6062501 stamped on the side of the regulator’s body. Recalled Titan/Conshelf DIN adaptors are marked “300 BAR MAX” on the side of the part. DIN adaptors marked “300 BAR MAXI” are not included in this recall. August 29, 2007- M&J Engineering Recalls Swivels for Scuba Diving Masks Due to Drowning Hazard
This recall involves all SW-3000 2nd stage 360-degree swivels for scuba diving masks manufactured between January 2004 and February 2005. The swivel has the date stamped on its body, below the patent number. Swivels that are already repaired have an arrow stamped on the top right corner of the swivel body. |
