November 12, 2009- Bicycles Recalled by Easton Sports; Stem Failure Poses Fall Hazard
This recall involves bicycles with EA30 stems. The EA30 stems are black with white-and-gray graphics and feature a four-bolt stem face cap. “EA30” is printed on the stem. EA30 stems sold as aftermarket items are included in this recall. October 14, 2009- Electra Bicycle Company Expands Recall of Bicycles with Front Trays or Baskets; Trays and Baskets Can Come Loose and Pose Fall Hazard to Riders
This recall involves the 2009 Delivery 3i, Delivery 8D, Holiday 3i, Holiday 8i and Surf 3i bicycles with front-mounted trays or baskets. The trays have an alloy frame with wooden slats. The baskets are wicker with a removable tote bag. The trays were sold as original equipment on the bicycles and as aftermarket items. The baskets were sold only as aftermarket items. October 14, 2009- Moser Enterprises Recalls Schwalbe Brand Bicycle Tires Due to Fall Hazard
This recall includes Schwalbe Ultremo R bicycle tires. “Schwalbe” and “Ultremo R” are printed on the sidewall of the tires. September 8, 2009- Bicycle Chains and Chain Connector Links Recalled by SRAM Due to Fall Hazard
The recall involves SRAM PowerLock connector links, which are sold individually, on 10-speed bicycle chains and as original equipment on some bicycles. The recalled PowerLock connector links are identified by a date code of M or N, which is located on the side of the PowerLock connector link. 10-speed SRAM chains that were equipped with recalled PowerLock connector links include the following chain model numbers: PC-1030, PC-1050, PC-1070, PC-1090 and PC-1090R. The recalled chains were also installed on some Guru, Surly, Salsa, BMC, Serotta, Seven, and Ridley brand complete bicycles. The individual PowerLock connectors and bike chains with these connectors were sold from January 2009 through August 2009; bicycles with affected chains were sold from April 2009 through August 2009. This recall involves Cannibal “Chopper” model bicycles with graphic designs by artist Corey Miller. The bicycles have a black matte finish. The affected bicycles have a serial number within the following range: L8E0300001 – L8E1001050. Serial numbers are located on the bottom of the bicycle between the pedals. August 19, 2009- Felt Bicycles Recalls Cyclocross Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard
The recall includes all 2007/2008 Felt F1X Cyclocross Bicycles. These bicycles are available in semimatte black and have aluminum frames with carbon fiber forks with aluminum steerer tubes. June 2, 2009- Bicycles Recalled by REI Due to Fork Failure
This recall involves 2005 Novara Trionfo bicycles with Aprebic carbon fiber forks. The bicycles are blue and white with black forks, and have the name “Novara” printed on the bars. May 19, 2009- Cannondale Recalls Bicycles; JD Forks Can Lose Alignment, Posing Crash Hazard
The recall involves model year 2008 Cannondale Adventure 2, Adventure 3, Adventure 2 Feminine and Adventure 3 Feminine bicycles. The model name is printed on the bicycle’s frame. The bicycles have a suspension fork with the words “cannondale AT35 adventure trail” printed on them. Bicycles equipped with the Rock Shox i-ride fork are not included in the recall. May 19, 2009- Trek Recalls Bicycles; JD Forks Can Lose Alignment, Posing Crash Hazard
The recall involves model year 2009 Trek 7300, 7300WSD, and 7500 bicycles. The model name is printed on the bicycle’s frame. The bicycles have a suspension fork with the words “Bontrager SPA” printed on them. May 19, 2009- Norco Recalls Bicycle Frames Due to Crash Hazard
The recalled bicycle frames include the following model year and model names: 2007 Team DH, 2008 Team DH, Aline Park, Aline, Atomik, Shore 1,2,3, 2009 Atomik (without gussets). All colors are included in the recall and the model name is printed on a decal on the top tube of each frame/bike. |
