July 14, 2009- Energizer Wallplate Nightlights Recalled Due to Fire Hazard
The recalled wall light is white, plugs into the wall, has a plug in base into which additional devices can be plugged, and has a removable/rechargeable light/flashlight. Model LODNLWP is stamped on the back of the unit. The wall light measures about 6 inches high, 5 inches wide, and 3 inches deep. No other Light on Demand products are included in this recall. September 23, 2008- Gotham Lighting Recalls Compact Fluorescent Recessed Ceiling Lights; Can Fail to Work in an Emergency
Only Gotham Compact Fluorescent Downlights sold with the optional backup battery pack are included in the recall. The lights are recessed ceiling lights that were manufactured between November 1, 2007 and July 31, 2008. September 18, 2008- Safety Alert: Petzl America Warns of Burn Hazard from Headlamps; Product Should Only Be Used with Non-Rechargeable Batteries
This safety alert involves the “MYO” and “MYO Belt” headlamps with name and model numbers listed below. The “MYO” headlamps have a battery pack attached to the headband. The “MYO Belt” headlamps have a remote battery pack attached to the headlamp via a long electric cable. August 27, 2008- Indoor Lighting Fixtures Recalled by Lithonia Lighting Due to Impact Hazard
The recall involves the Hi-Bay Indoor High-Intensity Discharge (HID) Fixtures, model numbers PG16A and PG21A. The fixture is intended for high-mounting heights (at least 20 feet above floor level) and is used in retail, warehouse and heavy manufacturing locations. The fixture’s housing is made of die-cast aluminum. August 26, 2008- IMS Recalls Car Chargers Used With Halogen Spotlights Sold at Sears and K-Mart Due to Fire and Burn Hazards
The recalled 12V DC car charger was sold with the Power Systems Plus/UST 3 Million Candlepower Spotlight with model number HSLR30S. The spotlight is black and blue and has a sticker on each side that reads “3 Million Candle Power.” “HSLR30S” is printed on the instruction manual and on the packaging. August 7, 2008- Progress Lighting Recalls Indoor Light Fixtures; Lights Can Unexpectedly Fall Posing an Impact Hazard
The recall involves the following models of pendant-style ceiling-mounted light fixtures: P3601-09, P3602-09, P3603-09, P3603-09EXP, P3685-09, P3685-09EXP, P4260-09, P4261-09, P4261-09EXP and P4262-09. The product number is located inside the canopy located flush with the ceiling. The fixtures have frosted white glass and a brushed aluminum finish. August 5, 2008- Halogen Work Lights Recalled by Harbor Freight Tools Due to Fire and Shock Hazards
The halogen work lights are 500 watts. Model number 30858 is included in this recall. The lamp measures 7 inches wide x 5 ½ inches high and is mounted on a yellow frame. “UL Listed E163392” and “Work Light 8F95” is printed on a sticker on the back. The model number is printed on the light’s packaging. July 22, 2008- Indoor Lighting Fixtures Recalled by Lithonia Lighting Due to Fire Hazard
The recalled fixture is a ceiling-mounted downlight. Model number LV3R is included in this recall and is printed on a UL label inside the light’s housing. June 10, 2008- Progress Lighting Recalls Ceiling-Mounted Indoor Light Fixtures; Lights Can Fall Posing an Impact Hazard
The recall involves the International Series indoor (foyer) light fixtures. The light fixture has metal hardware and frosted white glass. The fixtures use either incandescent or fluorescent bulbs. “Made in/Hecho en/Fabrique aux China” and the model number are written on the packaging and inside the fixture’s canopy, which is attached to the ceiling. Model numbers involved are: March 19, 2008- Progress Lighting Recalls Ceiling-Mounted Outdoor Light Fixtures; Lights Can Fall Off Mounting and Injure Consumers
Only Progress Lighting ceiling-mounted outdoor light fixtures with model numbers P5526-20 and P5526-44 are included in the recall. The light fixtures have three flame-shaped lights inside a beveled glass and solid frame. The fixtures require (3) 60-watt light bulbs. “Made in/Hecho En/Fabrique Aux China” and the model numbers are written on the packaging of the product. |
