September 22, 2022 Mr Maria Recalls Miffy First Lights Due to Burn Hazard

This recall involves Miffy First Lights with a blue color label on the bottom. The lights are about 12 inches tall and are made from silicone and have a white exterior in the shape of a rabbit. The LED light has a step dimmer and USB charger. The model number Mr LED 11 or Mr. LED 11A is printed on the blue-colored label on the bottom of the light. The recalled lights were produced in 2017 and 2018. The production year is embossed in a circle on the bottom right foot of the light; a "7" on the right side of the arrow represents 2017 and an "8" on the right side of the arrow represents 2018. Models with only a blue-colored label on the bottom of the unit are included in this recall. Read more.


June 25, 2019 QTOP USA Recalls LED Work Light Replacement Bulbs Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves QTOP WL100 and WL300R LED work lamps/LED Heavy Duty Rough Service bulbs used in incandescent trouble lights. QTOP, the model/serial Numbers WL100 and WL 300R, and date codes 1902/0518 can be found on the top at the back side of the bulb. Read more.


November 20, 2018 HoMedics Recalls Nightlights Due to Choking Hazard (Recall Alert)

This recall involves the HoMedics MyBaby Comfort Creatures Giraffe Portable & Bedside Nightlight, model MYB-N100GIR. The affected nightlights have the date code GP230118 or GP290318 and the date code is located on the underside of the product. It can be powered by an AC adaptor or two AA batteries. It is yellow with brown spots and white underbelly. The nightlight is about 3 inches long, 5 inches wide, 7 inches high, and weighs less than 1 pound. Read more.


October 11, 2018 Cooper Lighting Recalls Solar/Battery Powered Light Fixtures Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves solar-powered, motion-activated outdoor LED light fixtures sold under the All-Pro and Defiant brands. The model number is displayed on the interior of the fixture. The Defiant MST1000LWDF, All-Pro MST800L, and All-Pro MST800LW all have two light sources on top of a housing with a round motion sensor on the bottom of that housing. The All-Pro WPS2040M has a flat housing with the LED light source in the center of the housing and an integrated motion sensor lens and dimmer above the motion sensor. August 30, 2018 PetSmart Recalls Strip Lights for Reptile Cages Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves 20 inch and 30 inch All Living Things reptile strip light fixtures. These light fixtures simulate natural daylight and are attached to the top of the reptile's terrarium. The 20 inch fixture has UPC number 73725773305 and the 30 inch fixture has UPC number 73725773306 printed on the packaging. Read more.


April 17, 2018 Jo-Ann Stores Recalls Light Sets Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves Jo-Ann's battery-operated Maker's Holiday 10-count LED string light sets. The light sets consist of ten glass jars with white plastic snow and red plastic beads inside and a cork at the top that holds the LED bulb. The light strings measure about 73.5 inches long and have a tag attached with instructions as to how to replace the batteries. Maker's Holiday is printed on the front of the product packaging and SKU/UPC 1554-7201/603559321277 on the bottom left of the back side of the product packaging. Read more.


March 29, 2018 H-E-B Recalls Halogen Lightbulbs Due to Laceration and Fire Hazards

This recall involves GTC halogen light bulbs. They were sold in packages of 2 or 4 bulbs. The bulb packages were sold in 25 watt, 40 watt, 60 watt, 75 watt, or 100 watt bulb varieties in either clear or soft white colors. The bulbs measure approximately 4.5 inches in length and 2.375 inches in diameter. The tops of the bulbs read "GTC" and include the wattage and lumens values. The bulbs are packaged in blue and red cardboard boxes that read: "GTC NATURAL LIGHT" across the top, along with the wattage and color of the bulb. The UPC codes are printed on the product packaging. July 25, 2017 Outxpro Mosquito Zapper LED Light Bulbs Recalled by R & D Products Due to Shock Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Amazon.com (Recall Alert)

This recall involves all Outxpro 2-in-1 mosquito zapper LED light bulbs. The 10-watt bulb has a white grid housing that measures about 3.1 inches high, 3.1 inches wide and 6.1 inches deep. The grid housing has a blue light used to attract insects and an LED light below, for lighting. Item number DYT-80 and "Kinven" is printed on the product's packaging. Read more.


March 1, 2017 Philips Lighting Expands Recall of Metal Halide Lamps Due to Fire and Laceration Hazards

This expanded recall involves Philips Energy Advantage Ceramic Metal Halide Lamps model CDM330 manufactured from May 2011 through March 2014. They are designed as energy efficient replacements for traditional 400W quartz metal halide lamps installed in magnetic ballasts and intended for use in high-ceiling industrial, retail and commercial applications. The lamps were sold in both clear and coated versions. Each lamp includes an etching, located either on the base of the lamp or the glass bulb that displays the date code in the format of a number followed by a letter representing the year and month, "Philips", wattage (330W) and the model number (CDM330).
