June 3, 2009- Hair Dryers Recalled by Vintage International Due to Electrocution Hazard
This recall involves National and Sanyo hand held hair dryers. The hair dryers are made of plastic and chrome with a fold up handle and were sold in blue, pink, white and black colors. Model numbers EH-5202, EH-5215, EH-5216, EH-7911, EH-7912, or EH-7913 and “National” and “Sanyo” can be found on the hair dryer’s blower nozzle or handle. This recall involves Special (model EX-1800) and Narita (model TE-263) hair dryers. “Special” or “Narita” and the model number are printed on the dryer. The recall involves two models of pistol-type hair dryers: The Monica hair dryer has its model name and number, SW-117, written on the handle. It is made of black plastic and chrome, and the handle folds up. The Turbo 1200 model has model number DS-507 written on the back of the handle. The model name is written on the blower nozzle. The hair dryers recalled are the Eusonic models numbers 9318, 9329, and 2218. The model numbers are imprinted on the opposite side of the handle from where the slide switch is situated. The recalled units are the Turbo 2000, Turbo Laser 1500, Super Turbo 3000, Turbo Plus 2800 and Turbo Plus 1800 electric hand held hair dryers. These hair dryers have a pistol grip, black or red colored plastic casing, two-prong power cord, and a label that reads in part, "Virgo Professional" and "110V/60HZ". The model name and number also are printed on the label. |
