August 14, 2012 Canon Recalls for Repair EOS Rebel T4i Digital Cameras Due to Risk of Allergic Reaction

This recall involves certain EOS Rebel T4i digital SLR cameras with a 12-digit serial number that contain a sixth digit that is a "1." Serial numbers are printed on the bottom of the camera. The Canon logo and the model name are printed on the front of the camera. Read more.


October 15, 2008 Fujifilm Recalls Battery Chargers Due to Shock Hazard

The recalled BC-50 battery chargers were included with the Fujifilm FinePix F100fd digital cameras and are identified by the production lot codes “WCAA” and “WCAB”, which can be located on the back of the battery charger unit, in the lower, right-hand corner. The battery chargers were also sold separately as an optional accessory for the FinePix F100fd and F50fd digital cameras and have production lot codes of “WBAD” and “WFBA”. Battery chargers packaged with the Fujifilm Finepix F50d digital cameras are not included in the recall. Read more.


September 5, 2006 Olympus Expands March Recall of Overheating Infinity Film Cameras

The original recall announced March 14, 2006 included the Infinity Twin, AF-1 Twin, Infinity Zoom 200 series, AZ 200 series, and Quantary Infinity Zoom 222 Olympus-brand 35mm film cameras. Olympus has now added the Infinity Zoom 76 and the Promaster Infinity Twin model cameras to the recall. The model name is printed on the face of the camera. These cameras have a built-in flash. November 8, 2005 Nikon Inc. Recall to Replace Rechargeable Battery Packs Sold with Digital SLR Cameras

The recall involves the Nikon rechargeable lithium ion battery pack with model number EN-EL3, which is written on the side of the battery. The batteries are rated at 7.4V/1400mAh, which also is written on the battery. The battery is included as a power source for Nikon's digital SLR D100, D70, and D50 model cameras.
