July 15, 2008- Bench Scale Adapters Recalled by American Weigh Scales Due to Fire Hazard
The recalled bench adapters are silver colored. “MINI CHARGER” is printed on the back of the adapter. When plugged in a red light shines through a blue plastic piece on the outer side of the adapter. “AC Adapter” is printed on a white label on the inner side. The adapters are used with bench scale model AMW-13, AMW-1000, AMW-2000, and AMW-500i. July 2, 2008- RadioShack Recalls Power Supplies Due to Electrocution and Fire Hazards
The recall involves RadioShack 13.8V DC Power Supplies, catalog numbers 22-507 and 22-508 with date codes from 08A04 through 01A08. Date code format is MMAYY where MM is the month and YY is the year. The catalog number and date code are located on the back of the power supply. Power Supplies with a green dot on the product and the product’s packaging have already been repaired and are not included in the recall. June 26, 2008- Westminster Inc. Recalls Remote-Controlled Helicopter Toys Due to Risk of Fire
The “Thunder Wolf” remote-controlled indoor helicopter is made of foam and plastic, and measures about 7 inches by 3 inches. “TW0996” is printed on the tail of the helicopter and was sold in multiple accent colors. The helicopter comes with a controller and a separate charger. Only helicopters that do not have “Made in China” stamped on the underside of the helicopter are subject to the recall. June 5, 2008- Polycom, Inc. Recalls Wireless Conference Phone Batteries Due to Fire Hazard
The recalled battery packs were supplied by Gold Peak Industries Ltd. and sold with Polycom’s SoundStation2W wireless conference phones from December 1, 2007 until May 2, 2008, and separately as replacement battery packs during the same time period. The SoundStation2W part numbers and SKU numbers are printed on the underside of the telephone and include the following models: April 16, 2008- HSN Recalls Power Strips for Charge-It-All Valets Due to Fire and Shock Hazards
This recall involves the power strips sold with the medium and large Joy Mangano Charge-It-All Valets. The valet is a box with divided compartments that comes with a power strip that allows the user to recharge and organize items such as cell phones, mp3 players, PDAs and cameras in a single location. The medium valet comes with a 3-receptacle power strip and the large valet comes with a 6-receptacle power strip. The letters J and M are printed in cursive under the valet. April 14, 2008- Hobby-Lobby Int'l Recalls Battery Chargers Used with Helicopters Due to Fire Hazard
The recall involves a lithium-polymer battery charger and batteries sold with the AT600 Falcon Helicopter kit. The recall also includes any spare battery (Model AT600B) or spare charger (Model ATS6046) purchased for this kit. January 31, 2008- Car Charging Units Made By The Wenzel Co. for LL Bean Air Beds Recalled Due To Injury Hazard
This recall involves the car charging units included with L.L. Bean Raised Insta-Beds with Wenzel model numbers 822628 and 822629. These model numbers correspond to LL Bean catalog number 55780. The model number can be found on the product packaging. The car charging units are connected to the cigarette lighter outlet found in most cars. November 8, 2007- Yamaha Recalls AC Power Adaptors Due to Electric Shock Hazard
This recall involves the Yamaha PA-3C power adaptor with a date code of 0624. The adaptor is used with Yamaha keyboards and digital drum sets. The model number is written in white print on the front of the plug of the adaptor and the date code is etched into the plastic at the bottom of the plug panel. The adaptor can be purchased as part of a set or separately. October 25, 2007- Alltrade Tools Recalls Power Tool Battery Chargers Due to Burn and Laceration Hazards
The recall includes battery chargers sold with certain model numbers of both 19.2 and 21.6 volt NiCad battery packs. The battery model number is located on a label on the bottom of the battery pack. The power tool’s model number is stamped onto the inside lid of the tool set’s plastic carrying case. October 9, 2007- Toshiba Recalls AC Adapters sold with Portable DVD Players Due to Burn Hazard
This recall involves the AC adapter sold with the Toshiba portable DVD player Model SD-P1600. “Toshiba” and ADPV16 can be found on the side of the adapter. “Toshiba”, Model SD-P1600, and the serial number can be found on a rating label on the bottom of the cabinet for the DVD player. |
