CPSC, Mr. Heater, Inc. Announce Recall to Repair Mr. Heater “Big Buddy/Tough Buddy” Propane Heaters
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Mr. Heater, Inc., of Cleveland, Ohio is voluntarily recalling about 55,000 Mr. Heater “Big Buddy” and “Tough Buddy” portable propane heaters. The valve on the propane heaters can leak, posing a fire hazard if an ignition source is present.

CPSC, TechnoBrands Inc. Announce Recall of Rope Candles
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), TechnoBrands Inc., of Colonial Heights, Virginia is voluntarily recalling about 2,000 Rope Candles. The candle has a clamp that is used to extinguish the candle. The clamp does not always sever the wax close to the wick and extinguish the candle as intended. This can allow the flame to continue down into the coiled section of the candle and ignite the entire candle.

CPSC, Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. and BRP US Inc. Announce Recall of DS650 ATVs
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Bombardier Recreational Products Inc., of Quebec, Canada, is voluntarily recalling 2,127 Bombardier DS650 ATVs. The rear axle bearings may have not been sufficiently greased. This may cause a breaking of the bearing which could make the ATV unstable. The operator could lose control of the vehicle which could cause injury to the operator.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Nature’s Finest, of Marble Falls, Texas, is voluntarily recalling about 727,000 Nature’s Finest Gel Candles. The gel used in these candles can catch fire, creating a high flame. This can result in nearby combustibles catching fire and burns to consumers.

(Adjmi is an authorized licensee of children’s apparel products of Reebok, of Canton, Mass.), is voluntarily recalling Reebok children’s windwear and fleece jacket and pant sets. The zipper slider and pull on the jackets can detach, if pulled when the jacket is open. The detached zipper slider and pull can pose a choking hazard to young children.

CPSC, Hellenic Rug Imports Announce Recall of Flammable Rugs
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Hellenic Rug Imports, of Brooklyn, N.Y., is voluntarily recalling Hellenic Rug Imports’ “Mazarakis Flokati 3A” and “Mazarakis Floco” white flokati rugs. Certain rugs distributed from January 2003 through February 2004 fail to meet the federal mandatory standard for flammability under the Flammable Fabrics Act. If the rugs ignite, they may not self-extinguish, presenting a risk of burn injuries.

CPSC, American Suzuki Motor Corporation Announce Recall of 2004-2005 Vinson and 2005 KingQuad All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs)
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), American Suzuki Motor Corp., of Brea, California, is voluntarily recalling about 30,000 Suzuki 2004-2005 model year Vinson and 2005 KingQuad ATVs. Water can enter the throttle lever case and freeze, causing the throttle lever to become stuck and fail to automatically return to the idle position when the rider releases the throttle. If the throttle lever does not automatically return to the idle position when the rider releases the throttle, the ATV will not slow down as the rider expects. The rider could lose control of the ATV and an accident resulting in injury or death could occur.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Skylighter Inc., of Round Hill, Va., is voluntarily recalling about 120 candle holders. The center of the candle has an unexpected high flame and the plastic petals could ignite resulting in melting and dripping plastic. The ignited plastic could also spread to nearby combustibles and pose a fire hazard to consumers. The battery contained in the middle of candle could eventually explode.

CPSC, Polaris Industries Announce Recall of “900 Fusion,” “900 RMK” and “900 Switchback” Snowmobiles
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Polaris Industries, Inc., of Medina, Minn., is voluntarily recalling about 11,560 Polaris “900 Fusion” “900 RMK” and “900 Switchback” Snowmobiles. The snowmobile wiring harness may be routed in a way that could disconnect the engine stop switch and the throttle safety switch connector. If this connector becomes unplugged, the engine stop and the throttle safety switches will no longer function. This could pose a possible crash hazard. However, the keyed ignition switch will continue to function and will shut down the vehicle when the key is in the OFF position. The thumb warmer and right-hand warmer could also become unplugged under these harness-routing conditions.

The cord of the light fixture can drip plasticizer fluid onto the light fixture, which can degrade the acrylic reflector, causing it to crack and fall. Falling pieces of acrylic can injure a person below the fixture.
