CPSC, Firms Announce Recalls of Weather Radios and Various Weed
Trimmers, Brushcutters and Augers
This press release consists of two recalls. Please choose the appropriate recall below.
- Midland Weather Radios - Midland Consumer Radio Inc., of Kansas City, Mo., is recalling 9,000 weather radios. The radio contains a programming error, which can cause the device to fail to recognize certain signals broadcast by the National Weather Service.
- Weed Trimmers, Brushcutters and Augers - Stihl Inc., of Virginia Beach, Va., is voluntarily recalling about 7,200 weed trimmers,
192 brushcutters and 344 augers. Fuel could leak from an unsealed seam in the fuel tank, posing
a fire hazard.
