December 15, 1999- Selecta Wooden Toys Recalled by Käthe Kruse Doll
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Käthe Kruse Doll Co., of Troy, N.Y., is recalling about 2,400 Selecta wooden toys. The balls included with these toys are banned because theypresent a serious risk of choking deaths to young children.

June 24, 1999- Star Wars Lightsaber Recalled by Hasbro
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Hasbro Inc., of Pawtucket, R.I., is voluntarily recalling about 618,000 Star Wars Lightsaber toys for repair. The spring in the battery compartments of these toys can dislodge, causing the batteries to overheat or rupture. This can cause burns to consumers.
May 11, 1999- Wooden Stacking Ring Toys Voluntary Recall by IKEA
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), IKEA U.S. Inc., of Plymouth Meeting, Pa., is voluntarily replacing the red ball pieces on top of the wooden stacking rings on about 28,000 stacking ring toys. The red ball that tops this toy poses a choking hazard to young children.
March 25, 1999- Blue's Clues Toy Notebooks Recalled by Colorbök
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Colorbök, of Dexter, Mich., is voluntarily recalling about 3.8 million Blue's Clues toy notebooks to replace their coils. The ends of the notebooks' coils can break off, presenting a small parts choking hazard to children.
September 2, 1998- Flying Dolls Recalled by Tara Toy
In cooperation with the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission (CPSC), Tara Toy Corp. ofHauppauge, N.Y., is voluntarily recalling about 670,000Flying Warrior dolls. During use, the wings of these flyingdolls can break off, causing serious injuries to consumers.
June 29, 1998- Knock-A-Ball Wooden Toy Recalled by Laiko International
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product SafetyCommission (CPSC), Laiko International Inc., of City of Industry, Calif., is recalling2,400 Knock-A-Block wooden toys. The balls in this toy are less than 1.75 inches indiameter, which poses a choking hazard to young children.
June 8, 1998- Bubble Beauties Floating Balls Recalled by K B Toys
In cooperation with the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission (CPSC), K·B ToysTM of Columbus,Ohio, is recalling about 500 Bubble BeautiesTM floatingballs. These floating balls contain a petroleum distillate,similar to kerosene, that could be harmful or fatal ifingested.
January 29, 1998- Miniature Rocking Chairs Recalled by Effanbee Doll Company
In cooperation with the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission (CPSC), the Effanbee Doll Companyof East Brunswick, N.J., is recalling about 2,500miniature rocking chairs. The chair has excessive levels oflead in the paint, presenting a potential lead poisoninghazard to young children.
November 5, 1997- Clock Tambourine Toys Recalled by STK International
In cooperation with the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission (CPSC), STK International Inc. ofVernon, Calif., is recalling over 20,400 Clock Tambourinetoys. Small pieces could break off the toys, presentingpotential choking and aspiration hazards to youngchildren.
August 27, 1997; Revised July 9, 2001- Star Wonders Flying Dolls Recall by Placo
In cooperation with the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission (CPSC), Placo Products Company ofCommerce, Calif., is recalling about 140,000 Star Wondersdolls. During use, the wings of the flying dolls can breakoff, causing serious eye injuries to consumers.
JUNE 19, 1997- Chinese Jump Ropes Recall by Klutz
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product SafetyCommission (CPSC), Klutz Inc. of Palo Alto, Calif., isoffering to replace the Chinese jump ropes sold with about 66,000children's activity books by Anne Akers Johnson entitled "Chinese JumpRope," distributed by Klutz. The ends of the elasticized ropes are joinedtogether by metal crimps that may fail in use. Children using the ropes orstanding nearby can be hit by an end of the rope as it snapsback.
April 16, 1997- "Weebles Tractor" Toys Recall by Playskool
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product SafetyCommission (CPSC), Playskool of Pawtucket, R.I., is voluntarily recallingover 116,000 "Weebles Tractor" toys (item number 5242). The red plungerlocated on top of the toy can crack and break apart, presenting apotential choking hazard to young children.

January 16, 1996- Cobbler Bench Toy Recalled by Tuesday Morning
In cooperation with the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission (CPSC), Tuesday Morning, Inc.,Dallas, Texas, is voluntarily recalling about 1,164 woodencobbler bench toys. The product is a banned hazardoussubstance under the Federal Hazardous Substances Act becausethe toy contains balls which measure less than 1.75 inchesin diameter. In addition, if the toy is dropped, smallpieces of wood may splinter off. The small balls andsplinters may present a choking or asphyxiation hazard tochildren under three years old.

July 28, 1995; Revised July 9, 2001- Pull Toy, Paper Weight & Liquid Timer Recalled by Four Seasons General Merchandise
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Four Seasons General Merchandise, of Vernon, Calif., is recalling 4,800 Pull-A-Long Wooden Snail pull toys, 1,800 Water Timers (2 models), and 864 Paper Weights. The Pull-A-Long Wooden Snail breaks into small parts that could choke children. The Magic Diamond Paper Weight and Liquid Timers contain ethylene glycol and petroleum distillates, which are considered combustible and hazardous to children if ingested.
