July 13, 2004- Graco Children’s Products Announce Recall Travel Lite™ Swings
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Graco Children’s Products, of Exton, Pa. is voluntarily recalling 140,000 Travel Lite swings. The swing’s carrying handle can fail to stay in place properly and drop or be pushed down, hitting a child in the head. Additionally, the 3-point seatbelt can fail to prevent a child from leaning forward or to either side, posing a risk that the child can fall forward and strike his/her head on the floor or the swing’s frame.
November 21, 2002- Baby Trend Recall to Repair Infant Swings Sold at Toys R Us
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Baby Trend Inc., of Ontario, Calif., is voluntarily recalling to repair about 15,000 infant swings. A screw on the swing's support arm can loosen or detach, causing the seat to separate and drop to one side. This presents a fall hazard to infants.
April 10, 2002- Fisher-Price Recall for In-Home Repair of Infant Swings
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, (CPSC), Fisher-Price, of East Aurora, N.Y., is recalling about 42,000 Smart Response Swings for in-home inspection and repair. It is possible to misassemble the seats of these swings so that they appear secure, but are not. If the seat of the swing is not properly attached, the seat and baby can flip forward.
October 10, 2001- Little Tikes Swing Recall
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Little Tikes Company, of Hudson, Ohio, is voluntarily recalling about 250,000 "2-in-1 Snug 'n Secure" swings. The buckles on the swing can break and the shoulder restraint straps can pull out of the back of the seat, causing young children to fall.
August 23, 2000- Swings and Toys Recalled by Fisher-Price
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Fisher-Price, of East Aurora, N.Y., is voluntarily recalling about 2.5 million Lift 'n Lock Swings. The Lift & Lock Swing is an outdoor swing for children 9 months to 3 years. The swing has a plastic "T"-shaped restraint shield to hold children in the seat. Children can maneuver out of the restraints and fall out of the swings, resulting in serious injuries. Fisher-Price is also voluntarily recalling about 246,000 Get Up & Go Walkers, which are push toys. Young children leaning forward on the front of the toys can tip them over and fall. Also, the windshield wipers on some of the toys, which stick out, can injure young children when they fall.

In cooperation with the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission (CPSC), Graco Children's ProductsInc. of Elverson, Pa., is recalling about 564,000 Gracocarriers and carrier/swing seats for repair. The handle onthe seats can unlock unexpectedly, causing an infant to falland be injured.
September 2, 1997; Last revised May 10, 2004- Lil' Napper Infant Swings Recall by Century
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product SafetyCommission (CPSC), Century Products Company of Macedonia, Ohio, isvoluntarily providing a free repair kit for about 125,000 Century Lil'Napper infant swings. These swings have shoulder harness straps that areplaced over each shoulder and buckled between the child's legs. If thestraps on these swings loosen or are unbuckled, a child can become tangledin the straps and strangle.
April 24, 1997; Revised April 29, 2005- Quiet Time Infant Swings Recall by Cosco
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product SafetyCommission (CPSC), Cosco Inc. of Columbus, Ind., is providing a freerepair kit for about 355,500 Quiet TimeTM infant swings. Screws connectingthe metal hanger tubes and the U-shaped seat support can loosen and fallout, causing the seat support and seat to fall. Infants can beinjured from the fall.
