January 11, 2006 - Generac Power Systems Inc. Recall of Fuel Hoses Sold with Guardian Home Generators
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Generac Power Systems Inc., of Waukesha, Wis., is voluntarily recalling 20,000 12” Braided Flex Fuel Hose sold with certain Guardian® Home Standby Air-Cooled Generators. The fuel hoses can leak if bent in an unreasonable fashion during installation or upon completion of installation. If an ignition source is present, a fire or explosion can occur.
November 27, 2002- Tecumseh Products Co. Recalls Power Equipment Engines
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Tecumseh Products Co., Tecumseh, Mich., is voluntarily recalling about 25,000 engines used in various outdoor power equipment. A misrouted fuel line in the engine can become damaged, allowing gasoline to leak out, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
December 14, 2001- DeVilbiss Air Power Recalls Porter-Cable Portable Generators
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), DeVilbiss Air Power Co., of Jackson, Tenn., is voluntarily recalling about 600 Porter-Cable portable generators. A small hole in the generator's fuel tank, where it mounts to the frame, can leak fuel and pose a fire hazard to consumers.
