January 12, 2006 - Hurley International Recall of Boy’s Hooded Jackets with Drawstrings
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Hurley International, of Costa Mesa, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 330 Boy’s Windbreaker Jackets with Drawstring. The jackets have a drawstring through the hood, posing a strangulation hazard to children. In February 1996, the CPSC issued guidelines to help prevent children from strangling or getting entangled on the neck and waist drawstrings of upper garments such as jackets and sweatshirts.
December 8, 2005 - J & F Design Inc. Recall of Girl's Sleepwear Sold at J.C. Penney Stores
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), J & F Design, Inc., of Bell, Calif. is voluntarily recalling about 18,800 Bobby Jack pajama sets. These pajamas sets fail to meet the federal mandatory standard for flammability of children's sleepwear under the Flammable Fabrics Act. This poses a risk of burn injuries to children.
November 17, 2005- American Public Company Recall of Boy’s Hooded Sweatshirts with Drawstrings Sold by J.C. Penney
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), American Public Co., of New York, N.Y., is voluntarily recalling about 3,400 Hooded Sweatshirt with Drawstrings. The hooded sweatshirts have drawstrings, posing a strangulation hazard to children. In February 1996, the CPSC issued guidelines to help prevent children from strangling or getting entangled on the neck and waist drawstrings of upper garments such as jackets and sweatshirts.
October 6, 2005 - Adjmi Apparel Group Recall of Reebok Children’s Fleece Pullover/Pant Sets
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Adjmi Apparel Group, of New York, N.Y. (Adjmi is an authorized licensee of children’s apparel products of Reebok, of Canton, Mass.) is voluntarily recalling about 61,000 Reebok Children’s Fleece Quarter-Zip Pullover/Pant Sets. The zipper slider and pull on the fleece pullovers can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.
July 26, 2005 - H&M Recall of Baby Denim and Knit Jackets
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), H&M, of New York, N.Y., is voluntarily recalling about 750 Baby Denim and Knit Jackets. The metal buttons can come loose and detach from these garments, posing a choking hazard to young children.
April 27, 2005- J.C. Penney Corp. Recall of Children’s Bodysuits
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), J.C. Penney Corp., of Plano, Texas is voluntarily recalling 228,818 (56,922 newborn-size and 171,896 infant size) Okie Dokie® Striped Bodysuits with Puffy Appliqué. The appliqué can detach from the garment, posing a choking hazard to young children.
