January 11, 2006 - Stihl Inc. Recall of Chain Saws
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Stihl Inc., of Virginia Beach, Va., is voluntarily recalling about 23,500 Stihl-brand MS 192 T Chain Saws. These chain saws can leak fuel, posing a fire hazard. A connection in the ignition grounding system could loosen and create a spark, posing a fire hazard. Also the springs in the clutch assembly could come out of position allowing a spring of the clutch to be projected from the saw housing resulting in injury to the user.
September 12, 2005 - Makita U.S.A. Inc. Recall of Chain Saws
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Makita U.S.A. Inc., of La Mirada, Calif. is voluntarily recalling about 3,400 Makita chain saws. The flywheels on some of the chain saws can come apart during use, which could cause serious personal injury.
September 12, 2005 - DOLMAR Power Products Recall of Chain Saws
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), DOLMAR Power Products, of Duluth, Ga. is voluntarily recalling about 1,300 DOLMAR chain saws. The flywheels on some of the chain saws may come apart during use, which could cause serious personal injury.
May 29, 2003- Stihl Inc. Recall of Chain Saws
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Stihl Inc., or Virginia Beach, Va., is voluntarily recalling approximately 13,000 chain saws. In some units, the fuel tank vent could be installed incorrectly and become dislodged. If this occurs, fuel could leak and result in a fire.
May 8, 2003- Homelite Recalls Chainsaws
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Homelite Consumer Products, Inc., of Anderson, S.C. is voluntarily recalling about 6,900 chainsaws. These saws can operate while the engine is at the "idle" setting, posing a risk of serious lacerations to the operator and bystanders.
November 13, 2002- Stihl Inc. Recalls Chain Saws
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission(CPSC), Stihl Inc., of Virginia Beach, Va., is voluntarily recalling about 3,000 chain saws. Fuelcan leak out of the chain saw’s tank, which could cause a fire or injury hazard to consumers.
November 9, 2001- Sears Electric Chain Saw and Electric Edger Recalls
Sears, Roebuck and Co. of Hoffman Estates, Ill. is voluntarily recalling about 7,100 electric chain saws and electric edgers . Both the Sears Craftsman 14" electric chainsaw, model number 358.34114 and the Sears Craftsman electric grass edger, model number 358.79650 are included in this recall. Sears retail and hardware stores sold the electric chain saws and edgers from August 15, 2001 through August 30, 2001.
June 21, 2001- Recall of Chain Saws and Child Table Seats
Chain Saws - Stihl Inc., of Virginia Beach, Va., is voluntarily recalling about 1,000 chain saws. A missing screw can cause the chain brake to fail to operate, presenting a laceration hazard to consumers. Inglesina USA Inc., of Montclair, N.J., is voluntarily recalling about 780 child table seats. The seats were sold without a seat belt, posing a risk to children who climb out of the seat.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product SafetyCommission (CPSC), Stihl Inc. of Virginia Beach, Va., is voluntarilyrecalling over 256,000 Stihl model 029 and 039 chain saws. The gas capon some of these saws can loosen and leak fuel during use, which presentsa fire hazard.
March 27, 1996- Backpack Blowers And Chain Saws Recall by Shindaiwa
In cooperation with the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission (CPSC), Shindaiwa Inc. ofTualatin, Ore., is announcing the recall of approximately18,500 Shindaiwa model EB-45 backpack blowers, and 4,970Shindaiwa model 300S chain saws. The tools' fuel tanks couldleak, presenting a possible chemical burn or fire hazard.Shindaiwa is not aware of any injuries involving theseproducts.
