July 15, 2004- Snow Peak USA, Inc., Recall of Gas Camping Stoves to Replace Pumps
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Snow Peak USA, Inc., of Clackamas, Ore.is voluntarily recalling about 1,886 Snow Peak Giga Power White Gas Camping Stove, GS-010. Plastic parts in the pump connected to the camping stove can crack or become dislodged. When exposed to extreme temperature change, the blue plastic shrinks around the aluminum parts and has been observed to crack the outer plastic housing. The air tube on some of the pumps can become unglued and dislodged. Both of these failures can permit gas to leak.
April 2, 2002- Wenzel Reminds Consumers about Recall of Propane Camping Lanterns
As Americans prepare for the camping season, they should check to see if their propane lantern is part of this recall. In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Wenzel Co., of St. Louis, Mo., is reminding consumers of its voluntary recall of about 290,000 propane-fueled camping lanterns with model names "Ozark Trail" or "Wenzel."

December 7, 1999- Camp Mess Kits Recalled by Southern Exchange
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Southern Exchange Co. Inc. (Texsport), of Houston, Texas, is recalling 146,000 mess kits, used for cooking over an open fire when camping. The mess kit's sauce pan handle does not lock into place and the mess kit's fry pan handle can bend during use, spilling hot foods or liquids onto consumers and causing serious burns.
JULY 3, 1997- Camp Axes Recalled by Coleman
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product SafetyCommission (CPSC), The Coleman Co. Inc. of Wichita, Kan., is recallingabout 20,000 camp axes. The axe handle could crack or break during use,causing the axe head to separate from the handle. Consumers could beinjured if they are hit by the separated axe head or handle.
